Flip-Cup Regular Season
“Looking for a flip-cup champion”
So you just lost on the field, no worries get them back at flip cup. What, we just beat you on the field and you want to lose again? Bring it!!
1. The team you kick against, you flip against
2. Teams must be at least 5 vs. 5 but up to 8 vs. 8. If both captains agree, there can be unequal sides, but THERE MUST BE EQUAL CUPS ON BOTH SIDES.
3. No all male or all female teams. Teams must have at least one member of the opposite sex for 5 players, two members of the opposite sex for 6 players and three members of the opposite sex for 7 or 8 players.
4. If a team forfeits the game on the field, they do not forfeit their flip cup match
5. Because of huge teams this season, three substitutions and/or re-ordering is allowed. After the limit is used, substitutions or switching positions are not allowed.
6. In the event of a tie, a one-on-one flip-off with the final two players who tied. If the flip-off results in a tie, those players flip-off again, this time with 2 cups. If that ties again, those players move to 3 cups. This continues until a tie is eventually broken (or one of them passes out).
7. First team to 5 wins (best of 9) will be the winner; that also means, when you report your scores, one of teams must have a 5 in their score.
8. No rematches! Let’s keep the games moving so everyone plays their match. Afterwards: Unofficial games with more people are encouraged and expected. Feel free to mingle with other teams also.
Friendly reminder: Fill to first line in the cup (usually a shot of beer) no full cups!
