Presidential Address

My Fellow Kickballers;

This past Sunday was the much anticipated opening day for the CT Ivy Division. Even though I tried my hardest to get the mayor, he had other obligations (charity walk downtown). Nonetheless opening day is where a lot of returning kickballers look forward to and rookies alike for many, many months. It’s a day of great laughter, excitement, and big smiles. Big Fun! But, we can expand this fun and we need your help. How you ask? BE MORE SOCIAL! Just about everyone joined this league to meet new people. Weather your from NewHaven, to Hartford, to New York, to Kansas, to Cali… we are all from somewhere, get out there and meet your new best friends. And yes, that was me that made the opening day announcement; nice to meet you.

We need to do a better job of clean-up. I received a call from New Haven Park & Rec complaining of excess cups, clothes, bottles, and other debris left behind this past Sunday. They were gracious enough to give us a warning and give us the benefit of the doubt because there was a bike race that week but next time we won’t be so lucky.

Remember, if we get kicked off the field, New Haven Kickball is over! It is a privilege for us to be at East Rock Park, let’s not abuse it.

This here is a flip cup…. Please do not be afraid; it will not hurt
you, it will not bite you, it will not attack you. All he wants to do is have fun with you. All you need to do is drink it's contents and then flip him upside down (if "roofies" are involved so be it). His cup cousins have had horrible things done to them in the past (2 girls) and all he wants is to fit in and send you home with no memory. But that can’t happen if you don’t play. So what can you do; play and make Mr. Flip cup and his friends happy.

Your President,
Kyle R. Settle
