My Fellow Kickballers;
Sorry I missed last week’s blog; hope you enjoyed my personal bio. SO much stuff I want to talk about, but so little time. We have the embarrassing 1st results of the cross conference challenge, we have the mid season party, we have my “I told you so” moment about the challenge with me and the Glot, and we have our thanks to give to Mother Nature this weekend.
Ok, so after my mid-season party announcement above, I think I talked enough. Maybe not…. This past week was the 1st of 3 cross conference match-ups, and boy did the eastern conference get spanked!!! 5 wins for the West, 1 win for the East! Damn, we’ll get em’ next time. This has definitely sparked an east coast- west coast feud again. And apparently, we’ll get em next time has been my phrase for everything as my team got spanked as well. Never in my life have I received a spankin’ like that, well.... it was this 1 girl in Vegas, no it was two definitely two; and it might have been on the same night… any who, getting off topic, where was I? O yea the Mooners… (I’m watching you buddy!!!) –stewie voice
On a good note, I successfully beat the gLot in our 8 cup flip cup match. Check around facebook and you’ll see the epic battle. I started out strong and never looked back. There were people placing bets and some even bet against me…. How could you?? I am your President!!!! I’ll be in the Individual tourney come mid season party; open invitation of bring it!!!! I put the gLot to bed after last week (literally) and I’m not afraid to do it again.Mother Nature showed us mercy by not raining down on our heads fiercely this past weekend and actually, it didn’t rain at all. The Closers, I am disappointed in you; only a handful of you showed up as I think some were afraid of melting… Shame. And we got not 1, not 2, but 3 bonus team bio’s this week. They weren’t required this week but I guess no one wanted to take a chance after the Wrecking Balls write up last week. You all have made me proud!!!
Lastly, there is a huge amount of trash talk within the league, more than I can ever remember. Some on the field, in the bar, on facebook, I even heard some say “your team sucks” while walking into work. And I can say this is a social league and competition doesn’t matter, well I’ll be lying to you if I said that so let’s keep it going!!! Talk that ish
