Hooray Kickball

Ladies and Gentleman,

With the playoffs breaking down our doors I'd like to take a look at the standing and see what teams still have room to make some moves.

1st, 1st United Connecticut Kickers - 1UCK just needs to show up on Sunday to lock down the 1 seed.

2nd, Inglorious Ballstards - Still needs a victory to secure their spot, as long as that happens no other games matter

3rd, Balls Deep - Denied the 2 spot for being in the wrong conference, locks up the 3rd seed as long as they show.

4th, Free Ballers - Due to the head to head results, Free Ballers need BD to forfeit for a win on their part to move them up in the seedings. At the same time, it goes both ways as they would need to forfeit to drop.

5th, Blue Mooners - While upward movement is dependent of FB not showing up, a lose on their part combined with a win by Wrecking Balls and/or Balls of Fury with those teams giving up less runs in the process has the potential for BM to slide as far as 8th

6th, 7th, 8th - Balls of Fury, Wrecking Balls, and Balls to the Wall. Currently it's the head to head results that separate these 3 team. If all three teams win and BM drops into the mix, it becomes a case of who has the least runs against. Losing could drop these teams down as far as tenth, but if IBS loses, there is a shot at the 1 spot in the Eastern Conference and the bye that comes with it.

9th Schweddy Balls - In a perfect storm of other people losing if every Eastern team ahead of them loses and they win, guess who's got a shot at the top spot in the East? You don't often see a team that ranges from at worst the 10 seed if they lose, but has the potential to get a bye if they win.

10th Uniballs - 5 spots into the Eastern Conference and we have our 1st team that's mathematically eliminated from a shot at a playoff bye. Perfect storm scenario they could move up to as high as 5th, and as long as they show up, they can't drop lower than they already are.

11th The Closers - Nowhere to go but down, The Closers need to win to ensure the don't drop. A Kickelback lose will lock them in at eleventh

12th Kickelback - Nowhere to go but up, but needs to win and have The Closers lose.

So there's a fair amount of teams still fighting for positioning and there's not a game on Sunday's schedule that won't have an impact other teams within the division.
