Hooray Kickball!

On Sunday I overheard a few players talking to attempt to determine who had the tougher schedule. Now there are a number of ways to figure it out, but since the standings are determined first and formost by win %, I figured the best way to determine a teams Strenght of Schedule (SoS) would be to find out what the average win percentage of the opponents they've face over the season. For those of you who want to know the math, win % is based off a point system (win=1, tie=.5, forfeit=-.75) divided by number of games played. You take the win % of each opponent, add it all up, and divide by number of games played. Please note that for the purpose of this math I did not count forfeits as they are a true reflection of a teams ability on the field. So to not keep you waiting any longer here they are.

1) The Closers - .586
1) Schweddy Balls - .586
3) Uniballs - .578
4) Blue Mooners - .539
4) Balls of Fury - .539
6) Wrecking Balls - .523
7) Balls Deep - .484
7) Free Ballers - .484
9) 1st United Connecticut Kickers - .469
10) Kickelback - .438
11) Balls to the Wall - .414
12) Inglorious Ballstards - .359

Some observations
- The top 3 teams all faced 1UCK, Balls Deep, and Free Ballers, which were the only 3 teams to have a win percentage > .600
- Base win % from East to West was drastically different. Eliminate Cross Confrence games and the highest division only SoS in the East is .436 while the lowest in the West is .513 (this does not take confrence record only into account)
- My math may be off cause I'm recording very little as I go along, other than the base numbers.
