the Ghost Man & the Ghost Lady

Greetings Kickballers and Ball Kickers (you know who's who...)!
Hi, I’m this seasons ghost man and Welcome to a brand new season of CT Ivy Division Kickball; by all accounts the most competitive and feared division in the state! It looks like we've kicked it up a notch or two this fall season with 14 teams, double the amount of last fall. With some new names involving urban teabagging, a mafia not from East Haven, and even a nod to the old Karate Kid movie, this should prove to be an interesting season to say the least. I've even heard tales of some serious off-season smack talk going around involving who's a free agent, what teams were recruiting heavily, and where that itchy rash came from...all kinds of stuff! And I am looking forward to more of it throughout the season! So I would encourage everyone to show up this Thursday night @ Anna Liffey's to renew old rivalries and maybe start some new ones! The meet & greet kicks off at 7 pm. It will be more fun than waving to a one armed man stuck in a tree! (Oh, no! He didn't just go there!?) See you on the playing field!

“Oh kickball, oh kickball, why do you only come once a week? Oh kickball, oh kickball, that’s right because we would all be dead”
It’s the start of a brand new season! Who is excited? Well, if you aren’t you better get excited, because this season has the potential to go many places and be many things. For all you newbie’s; welcome to the start of funfest 2010. I remember last season wishing that I knew something about some of the teams going into the season…so make sure you check out the predictions section of this edition. Let me just give you a little info on what goes on outside the ‘playing’ of kickball.
“All captains do shots after their first win!” ---lie but they should
“I know a kickballer is serious if he/she is wearing cleats” ---truth
“Yeah we cheated last season, but not in the way you think we did” ---truth
“Stay away from her, she’s bad news” ---debatable
“Frank(the Bar Tender), I love you” ---truth
“Who practices?” ---lie; most teams do.
“Our refs sucked” ---truth; don’t be this team!
Alright, I don’t want to say too much; I tend to ramble but get used to this…. Good luck fellow teams! I wish you the best season possible, with my team kicking all your asses! I mean that purely out of love. GO BLUE BALLERS!
