Why kickball?
Originally just to have something to do but quickly realized how fun it is and how great it is to meet new awesome people, like me of course.... also it makes for a great "void" filler after I hung up the football cleats for good
How long have you been playing kickball?
I've been playing for 2 complete years, 4 seasons in New Haven, 2 seasons elsewhere
What is your favorite position and why?
Ummm, I usually like a position where I can pull hair &... o, wait ~ kickball; I'm extremely good at pitcher, catcher, and 3rd base but my fav is Catcher because you can hurt someones feelings that is trying to score and just "TAG" them pretty good
Any tips for new comers?
A close mouth doesn't get fed~ Meaning, if you’re not social, no one will know who you are and that ruins the kickball experience. So be social!!!!
~Also~

How long have you been playing kickball?

1st Base. It doesn't involve much running and I feel that my skill set makes me a prototypical kickball 1st baseman.
Any tips for new comers?
Learn how to bunt. And buy some cleats.

Hannah Laplante: Blue Ballers
What is your position on the board
My position on the board is the co-social chair.
Why kickball?
Honestly, I started playing kickball to join a team with some of my co-workers to get to know them better. I figured it would be a kind of fun so I gave it a shot - now I'm completely addicted! Kickball has introduced me to a whole new world of friends, fun, and competition. Kickball gives me something to look forward to every week; Kickball Sunday is by far my favorite part of every week.
How long have you been playing kickball?
Though I may make it sound like I am a veteran player and act like I am because I'm on the board, I am only going into my second season of kickball - with many more to come obviously.
What is your favorite position and why?
What position do I like? Let's see, what position do I not like? I'm the star left fielder on my team, but I've played short stop a few times which is definitely more fun since I actually get some action there because people like to bunt. Really I'd be happy playing any position on the field though; I just like to play.
Any tips for new comers?
When starting to play kickball it is important to remember that you can't be 100% competitive or 100% fun. It is important to have a balance of both and to be on a team that is equally as balanced. Play hard, have fun, make friends, and enjoy!

Jillian Kellogg: Blue Ballers
What is your position on the board
My position on the board is co-Social Chair
(Blog Team)
Why kickball?
I could answer this seriously and say “I can't even begin to explain to you what kickball has done for me. I could probably go on for hours, and then some...probably cry a few times, and then continue. That's how much. Me being a part of kickball is a sure thing to me having happiness in my life 100% of the time."…but instead I’ll say that I’m a dancer-wannabe-sport-player, and kickball seemed the easiest sport for me to play!
How long have you been playing kickball?
I have only been playing kickball for one season previous to this one…which makes me awesome.

What is your favorite position and why?
That sounds like a personal question…I don’t know if I really have one. I aspire to one-day play shortstop, just because I think it would be cool.
Any tips for new comers?
Be social! I can honestly say my friend count went up 100% when I joined kickball. I became closer with my teammates and my enemies (damn balls deep)j/k. And for new captains I say LOVE YOUR TEAM! This may sound lame, but, the more your team stays a family, and then the better you will do. Have a great season! And I hope to beat you on the field. =]

I could get inappropriate here, but I know this is a family site and I'm sure someone already said "69", so I'll just go with 1B/C because that's where most of the action is.

Why kickball?
Why not? It's coed, almost everyone has some experience playing (albeit in the fourth grade), and it's FUN! Did I mention it's coed.? I like any sport that has a rule that the girls have to play with the boys!
How long have you been playing kickball?
First through the sixth grade, then I took a 29 year hiatus to work on my kicking style. Since returning to the game I have played two seasons with WAKA and have played two seasons elsewhere
What is your favorite position and why?
I personally like doggie style (giver position, for clarity) because I can still see the TV or read a magazine and it provides deeper…. Oh, you meant fielding position! Sorry. I will play anywhere but I really like playing first base because it is a great place to meet people. I get to antagonize everyone who is lucky (or skillful) enough to arrive there. It's also a wonderful place to get into the whole "safe or out" argument with a referee.
Any tips for new comers?
If you signed up, show up...get your money's worth. It's not fun if you don't play! And leave the 'roid’ rage at home. It's kickball and above all else it's supposed to be fun!

My favorite position is pitcher. I may not be great at it, but I like having something to do every play.
Any tips for new comers?
Try to go to as many games, events, and after-kickball bar nights as possible! The season will be over before you know it, and then we have that long, cold, desolate, frigid, depressing winter to live through 'til next season... so don't miss a beat!

And for the rest of the
