Game of the Week
It’s opening day! Every game is the game of the week. But if you had to choose one, it would be a rematch of the Championship game of back to back fall seasons.
Ball Busters vs UniBalls. It's the battle of the "blues" and this Matinee game should be a good one……….

Kickball Predictions

Confetti & champagne:

Such a tough job to predict a champion for this season; We have 3 teams that can win the whole thing. All comes down who’s better that day. Who is this 3 headed monster?

Ball Busters: The ballbusters come in as the two time Fall champion. Always dominate, always partying, and always kick it up a notch come play off time. It should be a no brainerr that they are one of the favorites to win it all, however it’s not the same league it used to be

Blue Ballers: This team is part Free Ballers/ part Blue Mooners. Mooners being the Runner ups of the spring season they have joined forces with one of the top spring teams to form some what of a "super team". When you have a team like this with an all-star outfielder/roamer in Michael Colon and a shut down left corner like Hannah LaPlante, why not like this team? Better yet why not be the pre-season #1?

Sweep the Leg: STL is why. They complete the three headed monster coming into this season that will compete for the championship. Yes a new team, but nothing is new about this team except the name. Part Balls Deep, Part 1uck, yes this is also a super team. Sprinkled in with a couple of athletic recruits, and all-pro Christina Wolf combined with a championship Hungry captain in Kharim Jones this team is primed and ready.

Close but no cigar:

Wrecking Balls: comes into this season with unusual territory. A spring final four participate, they lost to the all so powerful 1uck. No worries, with them gone, a heighten confidence and all-pro players like Outfielder Tom Choma, and Catcher Anthony Fischetti; the Green Wreckers may just get back to the final four.

UniBalls: Not making the championship game for the 1st time in their teams history this past spring, they have re-upped with former all-pro players and all-stars like Craig Thomas. The “ringers” as they like to call them have come out of retirement to bring back home the gold. Like their rivals Ball Busters will find out, this isn’t the same league. They’ll come bone crushing close but no cigar for the final four.

Others teams in the league

Inglorious Ballstards: The Maroon Army come in with a chip on their shoulder. After making the final four last year as a rookie team, most have swatted this team from their thinking; well they better think again. They have revamp the roster, bring back all-stars outfielder Dom Alston & Catcher Kelly Miller with a Pitcher that has the “lots to prove” attitude, who’s know where they’ll end up at the end of the season.

Balls of Fury: A sophomore team that has also revamped the roster or trimmed the fat as you would say to compete more at a higher level. Their all-pro ms.kickball outfielder Jenny has a target on her back. I sure hope she and the rest of the Furians are ready for round II of kickball action.

Balls Deep: has reverted back to classic gold for this season. After losses in the off-season to some key members, they have restocked on talent and look to make a push in the playoffs. They have a rich history and only 1 can think if they can continue that. Former highschool and college all Americans, they just might.

Hamden Mafia: A team that is the other half of the Free Ballers. Yes, 1 half went Blue Ballers, the other half went and started a Mafia. They have some new players but this team does know how to play the game. We’ll get chance to see the grudge match between Mafia and Blue Ballers week 1. Leave the kids home!!!

Balls to the Wall: A sophomore team that took a lot of bumps and bruises last season but got better and better each week. This season can be boom or bust for this team. They bring back the bulk of their team with All-Pro 1st basemen Mike Pinto. Not too sure if they get higher than 9 or 10 in the standing this season but they are the reigning flip cup champions

Kickelback: they come in under new ownership looking to be more competitive on the kickball field. Sure, they were probably the coolest team you played against last season, but just like your little sidepiece you been seeing for 6 months, now they want more. They made a big splash in the off-season signing all-star Matthew Griswold to the team. With them winning more games this season, I’m not sure if they’ll keep the title most fun team to play

I got a Fever: formally under the names Los Cojones, Ginger Balls, and Schweddy Balls; this team changes name and t-shirt color as much as I change underwear. Usually competitive, they’re always that pesky team that you think you should beat and for some reason have a hard time doing it. Yea, their record might not reflect them as being a good team, but I’m sure you won’t want to play them come playoff time. And no, I don’t expect them to call out with a fever.

Elm City Teabaggers: this offensive name team has all the makings of trouble. Pretty sure they’ll win the title for team most likely to shut down the bar. As for kickball, they have some veterans on their team. 3 or 4 them have migrated from the Ballstards. That’s ok, because it makes for a great story line in week 1 in their match-up against them.

Saved by the Balls: are also a new team. Team captain and all-star Emily gogel has branched off to start her own dynasty. She’ll get her grudge match game against her former team Balls to the Wall soon enough this season. Not much is known about this team, but the last time that happened, we ran into a team called the Blue Mooners and look what happened with them.
