Game of the Week
[*Wrecking Balls vs. Hamden Mafia *] 2:45pm
Our 2nd anticipated match-up of the season. The Green Wreckers, a veteran team that have earned their stripes over the past couple of seasons. #2 In our poll, they hope to be in championship contention come November. They tailgate, they party, and they play hard. Boasting some great athletes such as Tommy Choma and the reigning best catcher in the land, Tom Fischetti. However, the not-so-new kids on the block have already gained some interest throughout the league with some tough play against the blueballers. Half of this team played last season when the Wrecking Balls eliminated them from the playoffs and went on to the final four; so for them, revenge seems sweet. This game can go either way, but just make sure your in attendance for this kickball classic.

GMOT Kickball Predictions

Balls of Fury vs Blue Ballers
Fury wins a close one ~ gmot
Blue Ballers have it in the bag ~ glot
Tough schedule for Furys, as the Ballers would be looking to prove themselves after an opening week tie. I say the Ballers in a close one ~ Handsome Tom
Blue Ballers didn't spend all that time tie-dying their shirts for nothin' (four different shades of blue, people!)--Blue Ballers for the win ~strawberry
Blue Ballers find their stride and take this one ~ video Gio
An interesting game as they didn’t play each other last season; close but the Ballers notch their 1st win ~ el Presidente

Wrecking Ball vs Hamden Mafia
Green wrecks the Mafia~ gmot
Tough call, I have Hamden Mafia with the win, prove me wrong green team ~ glot
Rookie team who showed that they aren't nervous as they tied one of the pre-season favorites. I'm saying the Wrecking Balls win, but it won't be easy~ Handsome Tom
I ain't scared of the Hamden Mafia. They'll go down like the New Haven Coliseum after the Wrecking Balls are done with them. ~strawberry
Mafia seems to be a team of soccer playing ringers...but this isn't soccer...Wrecking Balls take it home ~ video Gio
Game of the week: Mafia showed me something last week… I’m gonna go ahead say Mafia with the upset ~ el Presidente

Sweep the Leg vs Saved by the Balls
No save in this one, Balls get Swept ~ gmot
As much as I hate to say it, I have STL taking the win here ~ glot
Another shocking opening tie with Sweep the Leg but, I see them coming back big this week~ Handsome Tom
Not because Kickelback slaughtered them or anything, but Saved by the Balls probably won't win this one ~strawberry
Say goodbye to the Balls on this one, as they won't be Saved...STL ~ video Gio
No Contest here, we may have to get the mortuary out to the field early- I have STL ~ el Presidente

Balls Deep vs Ball Busters
Ball Busters win a hard fought game ~ gmot
Ball Busters take this one ~ glot
Classic old school game, with the defending champs looking to rebound after an opening week loss. I say the Busters win~ Handsome Tom
I do love Balls Deep with all of my heart, but things have changed since last season, sorry guys. I unfortunately think the Ball Busters are going to take this one ~strawberry
In my first time ever voting against my squad, I have to give this one to Ball Busters ~ video Gio Balls Deep just isn’t what they used to be, and its sad… but Busters might just be washed up… anyway I have the Ball Busters… big!!! ~ el Presidente

Inglorious Ballstards vs Kickelback
Sorry, Strawberry, Prez & Co. get it done ~ gmot

I got a Fever vs Teabaggers
Tea can't cure this Fever ~ gmot
Fever will prevail, but not by much ~ glot
Tough one to call as the Teabaggers took a big loss in the opening week and Fever is always a solid squad. I say Fever, but I do expect a better showing from the Baggers~ Handsome Tom
Fever for sure. They gave the much-anticipated 'super team' (puh-lease) STL a run for their money on Sunday and looked good doin' it; these guys are gonna go far this season ~strawberry
In a battle of great team names I think the only prescription here is More Cow Bell! I Got a Fever wins ~ video Gio
