below are actual Ivy league standings
Top 5 teams heading into Final Week of Season
1. Inglorious Ballstards (5-0-2)
Not as perfect as they would have liked to be but, they done enough to remain #1 in the standings all season long. Scoring 39 runs and given up a league low 10 runs as well. A win locks them in for the #1 seed and the regular season crown
2. Hamden Mafia (5-1-1)
Quietly, and sneaky the Mafia crew has come along way since being 0-1-1. Now one can only wonder can the half that is veteran Freeballers muster enough power to dethrone the Ballstards and make a run a the championship. They’ve scored 28 runs and given up 11 runs, showing flashes of greatness at times; this offensive juggernaut with 10+ homeruns
3. Wrecking Balls (4-1-2)
Wrecking Balls have expected to be in the position since the start of the season; A season favorite to make the final four for the 2nd straight season. Defensively the green crew aren’t defensive slouches either; Only allowing 13 runs, after playing the likes of Mafia, Busters, and Ballstards.
4. Ball Busters (4-2-1)
Ball Busters have taken a loss and tie in as many weeks; but history shows this is kind of thing is typical of 2x fall champs. Currently in a 3-way time for 4th (STL,Fever). Busters have another big game against the Fever in what should be their final test before the playoffs. They’ve scored 28 runs and given up 14 total.
5. Sweep the Leg (4-2-1)
A pre-season #1 has finally started to show their stuff. At the mid-season break they were 1-2-1 and since then haven’t allowed 1 single run in their 3 games after. A couple of position changes and switcharoo of the kicking order, and the bodybags distributors are in business. They’ve scored a league high 49 runs and allowed 16 total runs.
