Since the weather is getting colder, here's one to warm you up on a winter
night as you snuggle up with that special someone that may or may not have
bought you at an auction: Sweet Dreams (the adult version of Hot Chocolate.)
Ingredients:
1 c. heavy cream
1 1/4 c. whole milk
4-6 oz. milk chocolate
2 T cocoa powder
4 T whiskey or Irish whiskey
whipped cream for the top
Instructions:
1. Place milk & chocolate in a saucepan & heat slowly over
medium heat until chocolate has melted.
2. Add cocoa & stir well.
3. Bring all to a boil. When it reaches a boil, remove from heat.
4. Stir in cream.
5. Stir in whiskey.
6. Pour into your favorite container for hot beverages.
7. Put whipped cream on top.
8. Sip. Again, it's hot, you don't want to burn your mouth.
9. Repeat.
* Note: Depending on your tastes, you may want to eliminate
the whiskey and use either peppermint schnapps, Kahlua, or
even both. Also tastes good with cinnamon; if using some, add
it with the chocolate.
